Crawler snow blade

can anyone tell me of a attatchemnt or rig I can build to put feet or shoes under bottom edge of my case 450 8" blade. I want to clear our road with our tearing up the gravel.Thanks..bb

There might be some brakets on the back side of the blade that look like a 4" square tube would fit in. I seen some on the blades when I worked on them and used to joke about how those are for beginner operators that can't push a grade, I also used to joke around about how that was the reason they added the float positon to the hydraulics. Anyway, there used to be a foot option for the smaller 350/450 dozer blades and that's what the brackets are for. Good luck

Robert,
I don't know how much room you have, or what the back of your moldboard looks like, but if you go to a shop that sells pickup mount snow plows, you can get the skid shoes they use on them for around $20. You will have to make a bracket on the back of the moldboard to hold them, and then they use common washers for height control.
