My 1959 cat d6 leaks a lot of motor oil into the clutch(wet clutch), I am told that it does not take an oil seal, can some one tell me how to correct the problem.

thanks

That engine does not have a conventional back seal it has grooves on the shaft that throws the oil away from the flywheel end,if the bearing is worn oil can leak into the clutch.

You should't have oil coming from big motor ,no seal and no gasket being belhousing, the oil should came from the poney or cover valve or the seal from compression shaft.

The oil should came by the transmission shaft or some d318 crankshaft had in center flange a hole with tread and plug am not sure they were use for motor grader.
