I'm looking to buy a cheap dozer for a remote property I own in Michigan. I've got a chance to buy a Case 750 dozer and I know nothing about this model. It's a 1961 and I don't find parts listed for it anywhere I've looked. Most aftermarket parts catalogs don't even list the model 750.

Anybody know if parts are available and what the basic specs of are? Does it share parts with any other Case crawlers? I know it's got torque-converter drive, but does it have steering clutches - and if so - where would I buy them if I ever needed them? Only specs I have are - it's weighs 14,000 lbs. bare, has a Case 267 diesel engine 4" bore by 4 1/8" stroke, rated at 36 horsepower, and has a partial power-shift trans and torque converter.

I've got this posted in the crawler and Case forums.

I also live in michigan, I have a case 750 dozer mid 60s model. I"ve owned for about two years, a friend recommened buying it. My friends dad had 750 for years and worked very well, I have a complete manual for this model. I"ve used it clear some brush and push top soil off for my new house works well. If you have any questions email me back I"ll try to help. Brent

Jd, 750 uses the same roller and rails as 800,1000,
850 ,& 1150 , the number of links will be less. It does have the 267 engine -- 4 cyl, 4 1/8 bore , 5 inch stroke , and in 730 farm tractor it's 65 gross hp ,56 pto & 52 drawbar ,I have a 730 second series high profile & eagle hitch. In 1967 I almost bought a 750 , but while looking at it I saw the 1000 c and bought it, still have it. 267 is a tough engine and not hard on fuel, rated about 2.5 per hr and mine on a big disc with spring tooth will use near 3 gal. 750 trans is a 6 clutch power shift trans, quite similar to 450 but bigger. Shuttle F/R one lever , high and low each track , 2 levers. brakes are double disc -center plate expanding and are on the out side of the trans.Steering is done with either range levers or with brake which drops the clutch of which ever brake you push or push both to stop . If you get it , I have parts book on CD.

Thanks for the information. I've never seen a 750 before. I've worked on, or owned many of the old Case Terratracs and also 350s and 450s.

My main concern is the ability to get parts if something blows. I didn't see steering clutches or rollers advertised anywhere - but after your post I guess the "steering clutches" are actually hydraulic operated with a hi/lo on each side?
Are they actually clutch packs or are they hydraulic motors?

My mentality on this is - I'm looking for crawler to stick on a remote property I bought in northern Michigan. It will be for my own use only and I don't need to be able to truck it myself.
If it's in good shape when I get it, it's likely to last me forever as most of my other stuff has.
This is a private-sale and on a farm with the original owner for $4900. It's a bigger machine then I need, but the size is only apt to make it last longer. Thanks again for all the info.

Jd, It has no steering clutches as such, steering is done with the range clutches . There are no hyd motors ,it is torque converter mounted on the engine with short drive shaft to trans and is power shift ,there is a manual ( sliding clutch ) for 2 more speeds that you will rarely need and in the bigger tractors should be left in low unless you have to travel great distances. If you are familiar with the case 450 ,750 is basically the same just bigger and more hp. 750 has torsion bar suspension and that really does help keep the tracks on the ground in rough terrain. It has hyd track adjusters . I didn't ask before whether is has a power angle or power tilt blade ,I don't see one with both in the parts book. My 1000 was power angle , I added power tilt and pitch control, really works well. If you want to chat about it ,send me an email with a phone # .
