I've been watching for for a tractor-loader-backhoe on YT and ebay. I see some called SKIP LOADER. Is this something unique or is this just regional terminology ? thanks

The ONLY time I have ever heard the term skiploader was on an episode of Mayberry.
Andy and Barney were going to use one. I never did figure out what it was.

I have been in the construcion business for 45 years and I have never heard the term except for that one time.

A skip loader here is a tractor with a loader and no back hoe, but you're right, it probably means different things in different places.

yours is the definition used by auction bulletins recently. Skidsteers used to be called skip loaders but that kinda got lost until recently when it emerged as an industrial tractor loader.
