I too have a M1 and it is not a MG1. It says right onthe serial tag. How are your tracks they should be rubber mainly. Plus it should have one big honking gas engine in it. Also does it have the aircompressor and winch on it. If you want to know more my e-mail is open.

Is the dozer 3' X 7' not including the blade and does it look like the CA-1 at the following website link? If so, the engine is amilitary spec FC Waukesha and the dozer is a Clarkair CA-1. I have one in rough shape and am looking for another to restore.

The MG1 was a military tug tractor (crawler) used to pull planes around air fields. Normally would have an air compressor and great big winch on it. It uses a live track like a tank, will really roll in high gear so I am told. I have seen a couple, never did get one bought though. It would really be a neat project. Lavoy

What does it look like? A man sent me a picture of a Cletrac a couple years ago with a MG1 serial number and it was not a MG!. It was a BD!. Now what kind of engine is in the crawler? I am sure a flathead but what flat head? MAke & model? J.

I assume you mean a Clark Air crawler model CA1?

It was designed by Clark and built by Cletrac for the miltary. Clark also built the transmissions in the civilian Cletracs HGs, OC3s, Terratrac, Bombarier crawlers, etc.
