Tom Berry
Wake Forest, NC (near Raleigh tomaryberry@earthlink.net

Tom has three VW engines torn down, plastigaging and building back. Any VW diesel part you want.
I traded to him a VW 1.6 Natural, a sleeved engine, that I looked at torn down, it was near spec. He's putting it together now.
If you want one built right, contact TOM.

I don't have any I want to part with, but you can expand your search beyone Rabbits. The same basic 1.6 diesel was used up though early 90s. I've got two 91 Jettas that have them and also a Chevy 4Wd Tracker that I converted with a 1.6. The Amish farmers in my area buy up every 1.6 Volks diesel around - they've adopted it as their standard diesel for use on a lot of their horse-drawn equipment that needs a PTO power source. If you do a search at the nationwide used-car-parts database there are several for sale in the $250-$350 price range.
