Anyone out there have any suggestions based upon past experience of a good company to get general excavation liability insurance from? My agent quoted me around 1,700 per year. Seems a a little high to me.

Also, Anyone have any instruction on how to adjust the steering clutches on a cat 941 pedal steer? someone told me they are the same tractor as d4d.

Thanks!

Not sure what area you are getting quotes for, but the last time I checked around here it was over $10,000/year for gen liability ins. covering excavation type work, policy for a single axle truck with commercial plates was around $1,500/year, if that was all I had to pay for excavation general liability, I'd consider doing more of that kind of work, would need a steady backlog of work to justify paying those rates.

remove the cover plates at the rear, tighten the adjusting screw until it is snug, back off 2 1/2 turns.
