D3B Starter

Need some advice.

I have a CAT D3B. In weather with temps less than about 32 F when I attempt to start engine the starter will continue to crank even when the key is NOT in the start position. The only way to stop is to pull the battery cable. In warm weather, NEVER have this problem.

Any suggestions???

THANKS to all in advance!!!!

Take the small wire(usually white) off of the solinoid. Then use a remote starter(switch with two leads) and connect direct from pos to the small wire terminal. If it cranks after you release the button it's in the solinoid if it works normal the problem is likely in the wireing harness. "Crank with fuel off"
