I am looking at an Allis 5 or 6 crawler loader with Detroit. Tractor in pretty good shape. Want to restore/use. Anybody know how high it will dump over edge of trailer?

The operators manual I have for my HD5 loader (Model TS-5 Tractoshovel) has a dimension chart that shows the pivot pin being 9'-2" off the ground. It has several other dimensions that might be useful, if you have a fax let me know the number and I can fax it to you. Shawn

HD6 does not have a Detroit - it has a Buda 344 cubin inch four-stroke engine.

This loader definitely has a G.M. engine.2 cylinders. The ID plate is unreadable.Could it be an h5 or 6? I read somewhere that G.M. and Allis had a falling out, thus the Buda. jim

Yes, and the falling out led to the creation of the HD6. The HD6 is basically a repowered HD5 with the Buda four-stroke instead of the Detroit two-stroke.

HD5 and HD6 both came with Tractomotive loaders with 1 1/2 yard buckets - but I'll have to dig around a bit and see if I have any lift specs.
