Been doin IH 30 + years and have seen it all .. Yes it can be done. Had a fellow spend about 10 grand plus and was not satisfied with the reasults. You need a slow running engine with torqu at the low rpms. Had a customer re power one with a mack truck engine that did perform
close to original but my question is why spend more on the dozer than you can get out of the thing when finished. Why not go back with the original engine. They are around in ever shape from wore out to rebuilt for far less than I think you will spend unless you are doing all the machine work.
