does anyone know where I might find a diesel primer for a 2010, and do they help the crawler start?

You can buy primer pumps from many sources and they are still used on newer diesels - but for a filter bleeding instead of cold-engine priming.

Yes, it helps the 2010 start in cold weather along with the glow plugs. Comes in handy if the machine is parked somewhere that lacks electricity for a block heater. You can also install a fuel-fed thermostart heater and it will work just as well. They only cost $20.

Easier yet, just use an electric block-heater.
