the cat is a D4 - 2T7810 series. It developed a very severe leak in the Hydraulic pump area;its pouring from underneath the front of the rediator and all over the pump. I assume the problem to be a seal. The pump is a Laplant Choate Model number P9R. Does the pump have to be totally removed to replace the seal if so; What has to be removed to get the pump off? Any leads on where to get parts for the pump. All suggestions appreciated.

Hi Lee,
I'll send you a "fuzzy" parts breakdown for the P9A-R pump via your email address that I still have.
Takes kind of a weird shaft seal and I have no idea where you can get parts.
The pump can be dismantled from the front without removing from tractor.
