PROBLEM:
I can not get my pins to move on my Bob Tach/Quick Tach when I pull on the levers that disconnect the machine from the attachment, I have tried soaking the pins from the top with a lubricant, and they will not budge no matter how hard I pull.

MACHINE- Bobcat 753

QUESTION:
Should I remove the attachment, and the quick tach plate as one unit from the machine and flip it upside down, and get my sledgehammer and a large metal rod so I can beat the pins out???? If so, give me steps on how to disconnect as one unit, PLEASE.....

I just went thru this! The only thing that worked was to turn the bucket down as if to dump, and set the lip on the ground. Next I torched out a small half circle on the bucket bottom that allowed me to get a old punch(large) onto the bobtach pins so I could smack it with a large hammer. Before this I had removed the lever connections. They both came out the top with enough elbow grease. Prior to this I had greased, soaked, heated, and pounded on them. Only had to wire brush off the rust and they went in smooth again. The prior owner had let the grease worms get to them. rick

I have a different style quick attach but it has stuck. I usually pour some used motor oil on the pins every once in a while. You have to be real careful beating it with a hammer. Some heat even from a small propane torch might help to loosen it. Another thing I have seen is that the pins will wear and leave a lip on them that catches when trying to loosen the pins. This lip can be ground off. If the pins wear too much, you could build them up with weld and then grind them back to original size. Dave
