I'm very happy with my 610 and find it an easy machine to work on. Leaky axle seals are common and I've been few a few starters for some reason, but I get a lot of work out of it. That price with the trailer and forks is fair if the machine is in good condition. Under 4K with those additions would be a nice bargain.

610 isn't hydrostatic. Both are older so parts could be a problem. How much do you want to spend? Buying a cheap skid steer that needs a wheel motor or hydrostatic pump isn't cheap anymore. I had to replace a wheel motor in mine (3500 hrs.) and it cost over $2600.00. The 610 uses an air cooled Wisconsin engine, I believe, so won't last as long as a liquid cooled engine in that application. A skid steer is something that really needs to be checked over good. Worth paying a mechanic to check it out. Dave

found a 610 for $4500 with trailer
forks
3 spares on rims
there is also a guy selling 4 machines $3000 each
a 610
a rounder L 600
a international 4140
and a ford cl 40

and a 610 for $4000

today was my first experience with a610, i thought it was kinda wimpy and slow. (kinda good because the other two people that will be running it don't have much experience operating.) but it looked really easy to work on.

we need it for a farm clean up project, otherwise we are looking at renting one for a week or more.

That's still a lot of money for something you only need for a week or more. See if you can try out a much newer rental machine just in their yard. You might find that it is head and shoulders way nicer and faster to operate. You could also rent a bigger one and do your job faster. Dave
