D6B cable winch getting hot

The winch housing is pretty hot, works good.. But so hot you can't touch it. Is this normal? Its Full of oil, I have a , pin on rake, on the front also, now it leaks a little oil looks like its throwing alittle grease between the drums but not enought to have to add. Thanks

I think you have your clutch adjustment too tight and the plates are dragging all the time. Adjust it so it takes more lever movement to lift blade and see if that helps.
