The original subject was "Bobtach connection pin".

The tapered pin is working loose due to twisting torque on the non tapered portion. In other words the tapered portion of the pin is turning causing the bolt to work loose. I'll bet your bobtach itself is worn and the tapered portion of the arm bushing. If you measure the receiver hole on the bobtach it is probably not round. If you measure the taper on the arm portion, it is probably does not match the new pin. Also make sure your bolt does not bottom out in the taper pin. Fix the Bobtach(all worn parts), then place 2 punch marks on the tapered portion of the pin. Torque bolts to max allowed. Make sure there is no grease on the taper portion when you reassemble. If you uncomfortable with putting a punch mark on the pin, place a little bit of sand on the taper prior to assembly. You have to due something to keep the tapered pin from turning. I am having a machine shop fix mine. david in Dallas, TX
