I have a Case 480 Backhoe. I replaced the drake discs and seal on the left side and I am now working on the right side. The defferential lock is mounted on the right side and I can see no means of lubrication of this mechanism. There is only one seal, same as left side, that keeps the discs dry. If this lock mechanism were lubricated, the discs would be contaminated with lubricant. Is this deff. lock designed to run dry?
