Hey JDemaris, I have an H3 but it is only 5 feet wide on outside of tracks. It has a bucket, 5ft also, not a blade, is that why?

That's an H3 if a gas engine, and an HD3 if diesel. The crawler is based on the D15 ag-tractor and many parts interchange. Made 1960 - 1968. If before serial # 6001, the gas engine will be 149 cubic inches. If after # 6001, it will be 160 cubic inches. THe crawler weighs 7400 lbs - not counting the dozer attachment or winch.

Is that an engine casting number or from a serial # tag?

AC made many four-cylinder gas crawlers from the 1920s to the 1960s - some more than 1000 cubic inches and some just a little over 100 cubic inches. Need more info -crawler size, approx. vintage, etc.

The number is cast in the egine on the right side. The blade on the machine is 7ft 5 inches wide. Its approx 6 ft outside to outside on the tracks. It also has a model 400 winch on the back. I call the headlights Frog Eyes because they are on top of the engine cowling at the front. Just a guess but 3 to 4 tons would be the weight. I inherited the machine and want to clean it up, paint parts etc. but it is running. I can email pictures if that helps.
