Left steering clutch froze/rusted up sitting this winter. Brake works/disengages fine. Will spraying PB Blaster down from the top adjusting cover hurt anything?

Gus: Try running the machine some first. Bumping into a tree with the lever pulled back just enough to release clutch but not far enough to apply brake. No need to wear out the brake band during this operation. Be careful not to hit to hard, don't want to damage anything else. If this doesn't work you'll probably have to pull the clutch. PB can be used as well as fuel oil. The disadvantage of this is that the fibers and brake band become saturated and may tend to slip afterward. Then you'll have to pull the clutch and clean and maybe replace bands and discs. If you need further assistance or parts feel free to contact me directly at sales@pdmechanical.com. Steve.
