Anyone out there have or know where I can get a pair of 4 to 6 foot long forks for my loader?
Any type mount is ok.

I built a pair with 2"x4" heavy wall rect. tubing. Ended up with about $150 in metal plus $50 for welding. They slide on 3"x3" square tubing bolted to the bottom of the loader.

There's a guy in the Sudbury, Ontario Bargain Hunter that has some forks for sale. Four footers I imagine. Of course unless your throwing around some serious diameter logs (which are rare these days) four foot should be all you need.

good luck

Thanks Case450, I'll check it out, that's not that far north of me.

Where are you and how much weight are you going to pick up? I made/fabricated some that are rugged enough to lift the back wheels of a 10,000 Belarous off of the ground. They clamp onto the bucket and are for sale, too heavy for my 641 Ford. Email me if you're interested.

I am lifting lumber at 5000lb.s max.
I can arrange shipping to Ontario Canada if you put on pallet.
Let me know length and price.

The working length is 48". They weigh 100# each. I guess I'd have to build a pallet because the overall length is about 6'. I'd really like your email addy so I can send a picture. However, last Fall I asked a friend about buying them and I need to hear from him first, probably tomorrow. They are similar in size to one of Northern's models. I don't have the catalog here to tell you which one it is but I'll look when I get to the farm (10 miles away) tomorrow. Please send me an email with your phone # too. I included features of my own design and a pic would explain better.

I guess my email never got to you either. My friend said to go ahead and sell the forks. They are like Northern's 4000# heavy duty, only 48" working area instead of 53" and 24" under the bucket instead of 19". About weight capacity all I know is I saw them pick up the back end of a 2-ton dump truck and the one that took the weight first bent a quarter of an inch. They are constructed from 5" channel with 4" channel nested into it and welded together with another short piece of 3" channel welded inside where it goes over the bucket edge, about 1 5/8" total thickness. The area that clamps to the bucket is all 1/2" steel. The top channel is used galvanized 5". Everything else is new steel. They weigh 200# same as Northern. Northern's price is $650.00. I would like to get $400.00 US.
