looks like i busted a left steering drum brake bands ok how much hard a job is it to remove do i have to take the whole diff. assy out?

You are going to have tp split tracks and take both finals and spacers off to get to diff bearing quills to get plantary out to pull bearing off to replace drum. Again i have shop manuals that will walk you thur the whole job.

bands ok busted drum not sure how i need to repair drum bolted to diff assy. do i need to remove tracks to get axle shaft out? i changed the band 2 years ago guess drum to thin well used machine thanks.

I'm unsure...but a friend of mine used to bust the bands on his 350 quite regularly.He told me he had the change-over down to a fine art,in a short time.From that,I assume that there might be an easier way.
Also,the type of oil used in there is important.
