I've had a chance to take a second look at the dozer mentioned in my earlier post, but can't find an ID plate on it. The previous owner said that it has a Continental engine in it, same as a Kaiser car motor, he says..... ..4 cylinder gas. I've tried looking for pics on the Internet and found a WWII Clark mini-dozer that looks quite similar, except the gas tank on mine is located directly behind the engine and the Clark has twin tanks on either side of the driver's seat. Other than that difference, they both look remarkably similar. I'll continue to look for the ID plate and let you all know what, if anything, I find. Thank you all for your previous replies. Having seen pictures of the Oliver and Avery dozers, I at least know that mine is not one of either of those brands. I'll keep looking.

It is possible that it might be an early 1950's ATC Terratrac. They are decended from the Clark Air and use the Clark 3 speed trans. If it is old enough it might have Terratrac on the final drive cover or else have an ATC part number embossed on it. The serial number could be stamped on the frame rail by the starter. If it is there it might be stamped lightly and usually under several coats of paint.

Oliver HG and OC3 have the tank directly behind the engine as you decribe - and the original engine is a Hercules. But, many later got Continentals swapped in.
