With the distributor cap off as well as the rotor, turn the ignition key to its on position. Take a knife blade or flat bladed screwdriver and gently separate the points. If you are getting juice to the points, you should see a nice bright spark. You may just have to use a points file to clean them up.
I just brought the identical dozer home with me last week, having saved it from going to the scrap metal dealer. It has taken me a week to figure out just what I had. A lot of the component parts on mine came to me in old beer cases. The UC on mine looks great and the Continental flathead engine turns over, so I'm hoping to have a functioning toy in not the too distant future.
Good luck with your's!
Jerry

I am no mechanic by any means but i wonder if the engine or carb? is getting flooded. I'm sure even a low volume electric pump would push in more fuel then gravity feed.

What does it do when you try to start it? Can you smell gasoline from the exhaust at all? Does it even smoke or anything when your turning it over?
Is the pump primed properly?
Did you try take off the gas line after the electric pump to make sure it's pumping gas?

good luck man!

I have a 1955 terratrac similar to yours. Case bought them out in 1957. Parts are still available. Do whatever you have to. They are practically bulletproof. I have had mine over 15 years. Never regretted it. Yahoo has a site devoted to case/terratrac. Lots of great info and help. Steve B.
