Hi All, Have a International Harvester TD-9 ready to be painted. I have a Dupont paint code of 7410. Can anybody comment that this paint code is an accurate color for a 1945 vintage IH tractor? Thanks for the help!

Chris

According to the book, "How to Restore Your Farm
Tractor" by Robert N. Pripps, that paint code,
7410, is IHC red. I have used this restoring
A SWD-9, SWD-6TA, and a Farmall H, and have been
happy with the results. It seems a bit orange when you first put it on, but it just may be the
light in my shop. Looks fine out in the daylight.
I was wondering why you are restoring a crawler?
I am going to get a TD-6 this weekend to restore.
Any tips? Would like to correspond with you on the
subject.
Thanks.

I do not own a TD6, I have several TD9's of that era. I am going throught the rebuild process right now. It is expensive but it is interesting to preserve history.

Got to Binder Books to get the decals they have them all. Should help.

They are great machines, show well at tractor shows, and are light in comparison to some of the models out there.

Thanks

wk
