have a 53 super/m bought from original owner has emblem of super/mta on it any suggestions why he said never changed it original paint?

And it doesn't have to have the LPTO either. It could just be a Super M with Disc Brakes, 12" clutch, No TA, No LPTO, And Still be a 1954 Super M-TA. It should have live Hyd. and Lift-all. But the Remote 2-way was an option too. Guy Fay's Letter Series book was pretty specific about this!

Super M-TA was only made in 1954.
Post your serial number.
Like Dino said, it may be a 1954 Super M-TA without the TA.
If it has live pto, lever on right side, its a Super M-TA.
