I have a 1948 Cub. There is a fitting/clamp that is attached to the exterior shaft of the choke valve for connection to the choke actuator arm. Does anyone know where you can buy a replacement clamp? It is a special clamp because it has the fitting to connect to the choke rod. It is also not part of the carburetor rebuild kit.

Hi Bill, I checked on trying to buy a new one recently and IH doesn't make one anymore. Junkyard or make your own. I'm going to make mine.

How do you plan to make one. I have a similar situation with the coke cable on my 300 U. Its a swivel and I haven't seen anything I could use as a replacement.

Hi Charlie, Find one on another tractor and take a picture of it. They all work pretty much the same way. Just make it from a piece of 3/32" thick metal.

T-Bone,
Check the last picture on the album for a picture of one I made. I used aluminum so it would grip the serrated shaft better. I made several at the time, and this one is the last one.

Hi george, There you go. Easy pix to copy from and I'm sure he can make it from that. I didn't remember seeing that in your extensive album.

Mines a cable type and I have a proto-type already.

T_Bone, you responded several months back in regards to the upper steering box seal on a Super A. Could you email me direct at tglaney@earthlink.net so that I might ask you a question regarding this seal? Thanks.
