Ok guys I have been scratching my head on this one and i need to ask the experts. On 6 volt diagrams I see that the positive side of batt. is ground, negative is hot side. On my H, it is hooked up negative ground and positive from batt. to starter button. Now did i hook it up wrong when i put on new cables, it has been a while and i think i put them on the way the old ones were hooked up. Could it have been changed over to neg. ground? What components could i have messed up, hooking it up this way??? Any info will help.

Was the electrical system charging prior to this observation? If so, and you do not want to work on the system just hook it back with the replacement battery as you found it. It really makes little difference and can be made to work in either polarity
