i have a farmall 100 it has two cap plugs or end caps on the left side of oil pan near the top. was wondering what they are for?

someone has changed the pan that pan was on a power unit that had a dipstick to check the oil level those plugs in the pan were for a petcock to check the full level and the add oil level

Besides the oil level check, I have heard the upper plug was sometimes used to drain excess fuel blow-by on engines that were powered by kerosine.
