Anyone have any suggestions for how to safely transport a pull behind disc harrow for a cub? I have to go to South Carolina and get tractor and harrow, and trailer it back to Chattanoga, TN (about 550 mi.). I'm mainly concerned with how to get this heavy thing on the transport with minimal damage to the harrow, and no damage to the trailer. I believe Tractor will crank. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

The disc easily comes apart into two sections, front and back. Then you can easily load by hand and chain down. The tractor will easily fit into the bed of a pickup.

bppippi, You should be able to use a come-a-long if you do not have a winch to pull the disc-harrow up onto the trailer. Just use a couple of 2x12's on top of the trailer ramps and a couple more to rest the unit on top of on the bed of the trailer. Use adequate chains and chain binders to secure it after loading..same for the tractor.

If Your Not sure how to do it maybe You should hire someone to do it! They would have all the chains, binders & equipment to secure & protect Your Cub & disc as well as other motorists. I'm in the process now of getting body shop estimates to fix the grill, windshield & frt fender of my Pickup because some woman felt gift wrapping ribbon was strong enough to hold a 4 ft X 5 ft piece of plastic in the back of Her pickup for a 70 mile ride at 70 MPH. It blew out, smashed my grill, shattered my windshield, sent Me veering off into the median at 60 MPH trying to avoid the thing. None of the other 6-8 cars around us ended up in the median with me. NO ONE STOPPED!!! But Someone got Her license # and called state patrol. My $2000 repair is on HER insurance. BTW, SHE DID NOT GET ANY TICKETS! And That REALLY Makes Me Mad!! Almost as much as the fact She denyed loosing anything to the State Patrolman, then calling Him back to get my name & ph. number to ask ME for Her plastic back! A few comments on the Internet will NOT make You an expert on securing tractors on trailers for a 500+ mile trip.
