Has anyone got any literature on a Behlens aftermarket power steering unit for an M? I have this unit on my M and it is leaking, I believe at the front seal. Would like to see some manuals or such before I tear into it to replace the seal. Would be glad to pay for a copy or you could e-mail me info. Thanks in advance.

Ther is an O-ring in the end cap that is leaking all the seal is for is to keep the dust out of the O-ring from getting damaged by the dirt. To fix you leak you need to take the unit apart.

I believe that front seal is held in by a snap
ring, common prob is that once the ring pops out it
will not stay in. There is enough metal on each
side to drill and tap 1/4 20 bolts and washer to
hold the seal in. Take the seal # and you should
be able to get a new one thru NAPA.

Thanks, Dale. I may have to give that a try next time I'm up at the farm.
