I was wondering what is involved in converting a cub (1958 model) 6 volt electrical system to a 12 volt system. i.e. how is it done or is it too much trouble??

See the article "Upgrading an Oliver Super 55 Electrical System" in the Article Archives. You can get there from the Yesdterday's Tractors home page.

you need 1 wire chevy alternator with built in voltage regulator, and a mopar cermaric ballistor resistor between ing and coil . 1 wire to pos side of battery and that is your cure for the 12 volt system
