My neighbor came over today, and while we were shooting the bull he mentions that he tried to move "The BIG Rock" from out of the ditch by the road,to over by the driveway, because his wife wants to landscape around it.I asked him "What do ya mean, tried"and he told me he tried to pick it up a little with his loader(full hyd. on a Ford 4000)and he couldn't get it off the ground. Then he tells me that the cylinders are rated for 3000lb.and figured he should have been able to get it up a little.(can't tell how much it weighs, but this rock is HUGE)So I couldn't resist, and I said "I'll come over and hook the old Farmall up to that thing and see what happens",and he laughs. So I wheeled her across the yards and hooked the 1/2' log chain around it, and just flipped the rock over, and the chain popped off.Backed up,wrapped the chain around a little different, opened the throttle up to about half way,put it in 1st gear, and pulled it around 60 or 70 feet before the H started to peter out(the rock was cutting a trench 36" wide and 6 to 8" deep). So after we shoveled a heck of a lot of dirt from in front of the rock,I finished pulling it another 10'to where he wanted it.While we were unhooking the chain he tells me"I thought for shure I was gonna have to get a bulldozer to move this thing, your tractor sure has a lot of power",and I told him,"That's a Farmall for ya,you can't beat em'".I was even impressed(but I tried not to let him know that)

I'll bet its a true one ! My father spent many hours pulling rocks out of the fields with an "H" that probably should have had a dozer.
