I have a 49 Cub 6volt with a mag. My head light switch has a Fuse holder attached to the rear of the switch. My head lights do not have a ground. All of the wireing diagrams I have seen do not show anything like it. My problem is when I turn on the head lights the Amp gauge pegs to discharge. I sure could use a wireing diagram for this cub. Thanks

Bill - This is for an early 40's A/B with a mag. Far as I know your Cub should be wired up the same. (Thanks to Farmer Bob for scanning/sharing this image!)

Pegging the ammeter on discharge when you turn on the lights is not right. Should only indicate 10 - 12 or so amps (about 1/2 scale deflection if the ammeter is not marked) with the lights on and the motor stopped. Sounds like there's a short in the wiring somewhere between the light switch and one of the lights. ...Bob M

Thanks very much for the wire diagram, Bob M. I dont think it is a bad wire because I just put in a new wire harness, not to say that this may have a short. Thanks again Bill
