As you all probably know, I am putting a model 31 loader on my 52 H and trying to figure some hydraulic plumbing out. I have a 3 pt. on the tractor and the hydraulic hose hooks to the rear port on the left side of the tractor with a quick coupler and when I get the loader it will take up both front ports. I am sitting here trying to figure out the easiest way to be able to shut the loader off and use the 3 pt or vise versa. I was thinking that if I would screw a ball valve on the ports that the loader connects to and one where the 3 pt connects to I would be able to regulate where the oil flows. I would have to get rid of the quick coupler though. Would this setup work or is there an easier one? Thanks in advance! P.S. I just got my manual for the loader today from Binder Books and it is GREAT. Best thing in the world. Shows all mounting and everything!

easiiest and best way would have the loader on a circut by itself but a ball valve will work ok as you dont need both at the same time the left rear outlet on the original was a delayed for the rear imps you can run the loader out of one port then a tee to go to the cycls use this set up on my B when want to use blade on back just shut off the line going to the cycls on the loader this also locks the loader in position can also use two way on the blade but all it does is raise up the B nice way to change tires

I have the setup you're thinking about on my 47 H
with 3 ball valves - 2 for the loader on the 2 forward outlets and 1 for the 3 pt on the rear outlet. It works fine, but there's gotta be a better way. Like Gene said, the rear hole is a delayed lift - it kind of works a little different from the fronts. Going up seems normal, but down is all or nothing. Makes it a pain to adjust the height of the blade. Also I would like to use a different valve so I wouldn't have to jump off the tractor to switch from loader to 3 pt.
