I HAVE A 1951 FARMALL SUPER AV THAT I AM RESTORING
IT HAS CULTIVATORS, AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT YEAR THEY STARTED AND STOPPED PAINTING PART OF THE CULTIVATOR BLUE. I AM ALSO NOT SURE WHAT PARTS OF
CULTIVATOR GETS THE BLUE COLOR. I AM ALSO WORKING ON A 1936 F-12 AND NEED A HOOD. IF ANYONE CAN HELP

Bob,

I think it was around 1955 when they started going from blue to black. However they kept using old inventory of parts and some blue parts for implements were still coming out in 1957. Usually the main frames were red, all ground working tools and shanks were blue except for the cultivator feet themselves which were black, and the lift arms and rock shafts were sometime blue and sometime red. After they went to black, I never saw lift arms or rock shafts painted black. They were all red then with the ground working tools and shanks black. Your 51 cultivator would definately be red and blue.
