Which of the Farmalls (letter or numbered) were available with propane fuel systems? I'll be looking at a Farmall for sale this weekend at an unheard of price (we'll see how it runs however). The only description I can get out of the owner is that has a narrow front wheel configuration and it's propane.

buy it take it home ,put on a gas carb-gas tank it will run real good make sure the total timing is about 32% TOTAL AT WIDE OPEN ; if you get a m-super m or part of the production of the 400 ti comes with a hi compresion gas head, part of 400- and all of the 450,s had a new style head and it,s a beauty, the 350 has about 66-cc,s in the head and the 450 has about 118 those heads on a gas motor will make more power , remember wen you rasie compresion you have to come back on the timeing, or go to good gas, we run H,s with 350 propane heads and they will make 50 hp easy. jw braun

If the tractor is in real nice shape, and if you can get it cheap enough, I would buy it and take out the motor and put in a gas or diesel motor. It shouldn't be that hard to do.

I have seen just about every model with a propane edition. I have seen them as far back as an H and M, up to about an 806. They usually go dirt cheap on auctions because noone wants the hassle of running on propane. Not that propane is bad, but not everyone has a propane tank they can pull up to and fill their tractor from. The 806 I saw, ran excellent, and was in pretty good shape with good tires, and it brough only 2500. A diesel counterpart will bring around 6000. Good luck with it and getting it at the auction.

It depends on wether you are talking factory or field conversions. The Super M was the first factory followed by the Super W-6. The Super Hs got them later if I remember right, (possibly not until they were 300s) and also the big tractors.

The size of the Super M is much more of a tractor than I really wanted to buy, but what I can tell from collector interest, the Super W-6 may be worth going for.

Now that I think about it, the the M and H were both supers.
