I was using my '62 560 yesterday when one of the wheel bearings gave out on the WFE. I bought this tractor from my uncle last fall who had used in on his dairy farm for 30+ years. I remember him telling me once that it had a WFE off a 460 and the normal 560 wheel bearings were a different size. I thought all the wfe's were basically the same. Anyone know if a 460 and 560 would be different? I think it is an actual IHC wfe but don't know for sure how to tell.

can you find any bearing numbers? If not-- this may sound stupid but take the other wheel off and use those numbers.. Chances are you will need new bearings on that side soon also. It isn't that big a job, just a little greasey!!

The easiest way to tell if your 560 has 460 or 560 bearings is to look at nut that holds the bearings on. The 460 has a 3/4 nut and takes a 1-1/8 wrench and the 560 has a 7/8 nut and takes a 1-5/16
wrench.

I just went through this last winter with my 300. There is a heavy hub and a light hub which do use different wheel bearings. They are also that way on nfe.
