hello everyone
i know this may sound dumb as the dirt on my tractor, but its the first one i have owned. what type and weight engine oil is best? where do i check and add hydralic fluid and what type? next. what type and where do i check and add transmission fluid? thanks for any info that will help keep my tractor in good working order.

Transmission fill is in the deck. It is a square plug. Drain is underneath, it too is a square plug. Get the manuals for the tractor. It gives all the proper fluid weights and capacities. Well worth the money.

1. If you are working your tractor pretty hard you might try 30wt detergent. (I use Delo 400 in my S/A)
If you are only showing your tractor then 20wt or 10/30 is ok.
2. Hyd fluid opening is on left side of hyd unit under gas tank. It is a 3/4" pipe plug. Fill to about 1" belowbottom thread with Hy-Tran or a good non-foaming hyd oil.
3. Transmission check point is on left side of tractor at lower fwd corner of transmission behind brake rod. Fill port is on top of transmission. (90wt gear lube)

I just noticed that you have a C. The port locations I gave you are for an A. Otherwise they should apply.
