My 1962 560G misses quite a bit when running full throttle in road gear, but if you put it under load, such as up a hill, it smooths out and runs fine. Any ideas?

My 460 was doing about the same thing. It turned out to be an intake manifold leak. You can check for this by spraying WD40 on any areas you think could be leaking and listening for a change in engine speed and/or the miss should go away for a few seconds. I would have a fire extinguisher handy when I did this. WD40 will burn and the exhaust manifold is right there too.

Good luck
