Bob M, Denny Frisk, Tractor Vet. Thanks for all your help. Cleaned everything again and found the discs weren't sliding back and forth Properly.Wire brush fixed it. I had put some of that rust inhibitor on the shafts. My forhead is getting flat from smacking it with open hand. I should have started collecting when I was very young and knew everything. Thanks again. Super M stops on a dime. Can drag both wheels if I want to.

What's this Super M stopping on a dime? I was always led to believe that the old tractors were weak on brakes, so I just accepted that I have to stand on the brake pedal on any kind of a slope. Guess I should have a look....?
