Has anyone ever figured out how to make the disc brakes on the 450 work. I have a 56 model that I have never been happy with the stopping power. I have sanded the disc's and greased the balls and ramps. Nothing seemed to help, is there some parts worn or some replacement parts that will make them grab. Some one mentioned having the disc's sandblasted, will that help. Thanks Bill

I'm with Jon on this one. I helped a friend with his 300, we made sure everything was freed up, lubricated the roller balls, even scuffed up the old brake disc pads, but the brakes didn't improve. Then we replaced the brake disc pads and sure enough, nine cents change from a dime.

my 400 was like that, couldn't get it to stop for nothing. put all new brake disks in, new springs and balls and also coated the balls with dry graphite lubricant. It will now stop on a dime with no problem.
