Started cleaning up my H and found an acre worth of dirt in the oil bath. Cleaned the bowl out but am curious as how you clean the wire mesh trap? Does it come outof the housing or do you clean the whole unit as it comes off the tractor. I can see dirt up in the screen and it is really sludgy so it doesn't flow out. Also is 30 W oil the correct oil to fill the bath with? Thanks for an

Brian, I have good result by removing the entire breather assembly off the tractor. If you have a parts washer you can soak the whole thing and clean it that way. If you don't, the turn the unit upside down over a bucket and flush it with kerosene or diesel fuel. Snake a rag on a wire down through the pipe until it is clean as well. You'll see the screen clean up nicely. The screen is not removable.//FB
