I am trying to help my father install a delco internaly regulated alternator on our Super A tractor. we have it mounted but can't figure out where all the wires need to be hooked up. If anyone can tell me how it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bare

Bob you did a great job of drawing a diagram for a super A. I need help with a 454/2400A Int. There is a white and a red wire from a plug on the Alt. The white wire is open on the other side of the tractor, where is supposed to terminate.
Thanks Marv

Joe's right - you can use the existing ammeter "as is" on 12 volts. But a voltmeter will work fine too - wire it up like this: 1-Wire from the alternator BAT terminal direct to the starter switch. 2-Voltmeter "+" connect to the SWITCHED side of the ignition switch. 3-Voltmeter "-" connect to any good ground. ...Bob M

you do not need to change gauge. i didnt and bob said so as well. my gauge goes to 20. it starts with needle at edge but runs around 10 or so.
