Hi. I remember a while back, someone posted a picture, well, let me back up. The tractor's crank handle, the one you use to hand crank the tractor. It hooks in a clamp- type thing beside the seat. Someone posted a picture of this clamp after it had broken, and what a good one looks like. I need these pictures. I think (know) the one on our tractor is broken, but I want to make sure. Also, I have a transmission problem. When I mash the clutch all way in, and try to put it in gear, it just makes a grinding noise, like the clutch isnt mashed, even when it is. The pedal has good pressure on it, and I can see the rod moving up uder the tractor when I remove the bolt on plate. Any ideas?

If the tractor hasen't been driven for awhile then the clutch disk may be rusted to the flywheel or pressure plate. See if it will start in gear and drive it around with the pedal depressed to see if it will come loose.

I can't help with the pics of crank, but it sounds like you have a bad pilot bushing, or a bad throw out bearing. The early Super C used a graphite T.O. bearing, and these were junk, maybe you have one of these on your Super A. When you split the tractor, and finds it is a T.O. be sure to replace the pilot bushing. It's a $7 item.
