New owner of a '48 Super A Farmall. It has a single bottom plow that attaches to the drawbar and the plow point is shot. Other parts are not in good shape from rust and wear. The part # on the plow is IH512504RI I think (hard to read). Any sources for parts or help?

Thanks.

Bob what part of the country do you live in. I am in east texas and try to keep a few extra plow parts.

I will guess that the part number you quoted was the number for the plow beam. This is not too useful for identifying correct parts for the bottom. Any of several different bottoms could have been installed on the plow in the first place. You should be able to find the part numbers for most of the wear parts (point, moldboard, landside etc.) on the back side of the individual parts.

There may be some parts available through a CaseIH dealer. Also some of the farm supply houses like Tractor Supply, Quality Farm and Fleet, or what ever is the chain in your area, have or can order parts for various plows. Be prepared to pay for a new plow point. The last time I checked, they were over $50 for that style of point. They are probably more now, if you can get them. I converted my plows to the new throw-away style of point. E-mail me if you want more details.
