I have a 54 Super C that I purchased recently and I want to know how to hook up a bottom plow?

I guess it doesn't have 2 pt. hitch. Well, the previous post is correct. I can't emphasize how right the other post is about having the plow set right. I guess it's because my father taught me to plow correctly, and it burns me up to see a field plowed incorrectly. Also, a 2 bottom plow is a fair amount for a C, depending on how deep you plow, so sharp points and proper set up is essential.

The "C" requires a McCormick two bottom plow which attaches under the bell housing and onto the axle housings, for a stock tractor. The power lift attaches to the plow with, I believe, a chain to raise and lower the plow. It has no "down" pressure, so the plow shares must be sharp, and the plow adjusted to work properly. The right rear tire spacing may need to be moved, especially if the tractor had been set up for planting/cultivating. I have a plow for a "C", but havent used it since I either offset plow my fields or flatbreak with my 2 bottom 3PT on my JD40 (yes it takes a while!) Another option is to add a 3 pt kit to your "C", but dont know how strong they would be to pull a 3 pt plow. Hope I have helped.
