H needed full choke to run on warm day,fix offered

My 47 H ran fine last week, purred away at idle and came up to speed as I operated it for a couple of hours. Had done a carb rebuild and cleaning due to prior eratic operation. Today (70 degreeF) I could not get it started unless I kept the choke out all the way and then it would die when I put the choke in. Started thinking about it and realised I must not be getting enough gas even though the bowel was full and clean. Pulled off fuel line and got a weak dribble at bowl outlet, peered in tank and saw band aid floating around so I pulled tank off and got out 50 odd years of stuff in tank and pushed a wire through inlet in bowl to get out impacted crud. Steady fuel stream now, no choke needed runs like a charm. Tip of the day, old fuel systems should be cleaned completely to prevent delays. Carb to t
