Front Vs Rear Snow Blade

I'm having a personal debate whether to make a front blade or rear blade for my Super A. My Tractor has a bucket on the front but it's only about 3 feet wide and not great for clearing mass amounts of snow. I was thinking that the rear blade could plough, and I could use the front bucket for piling. I've heard though that in deeper snow, the front wheels will bogg down the tractor. I have chains, and could put some bricks on the back for weight.

Any thoughts ?

We sometimes get a good 2 feet of snow.

Brian:
I have a 140 with a Model 1000 single arm bucket. I rigged up a 5 foot snow plow to fit the loader (take bucket off) and it works great. Having the plow on the loader is great for pushing back the banks and piling it high. I also use a scraper blade on the rear to catch any spill over. You would have a tough time in deep snow with just the back blade unless you went backwards.

easier to push than to pull when you push it forward and out of the way its gone

I've pushed snow with my H for years. If you push it backwards for any length of time or distance , make a standing appointment with your chiropractor to fix your neck after every snow .
Make a blade for on your bucket and wide enough to clear your back tires.
