My PTO slows down & will come to almost a complete stop when running a 5' Woods mower through the thick stuff. The tractor engine doesn't seem to lug down at all and has plenty of power. What can be the cause of this???

On the top of the PTO there is a small cover, take it off and you will see two screws, Make sure the PTO lever is in the middle position, loosen the lock nut and turn the screw in until the front side of the lock on the lever is lined up with front side of slot on the PTO.

Your PTO clutches are either shot or aou of adjustment.

Thanks, Jim let me know how to adjust in other post. Will give it a try. If the clutches are shot- what should I expect for a repair bill? Tractor is headed for repair shop for hydralic leak- leaking from a plug on the top of power steering column. Can't get it any tighter & it leaks pretty good whenever it is under a load. Brian
