I have tried several places for an overunning coupler/clutch for my 54 cub. Because (as I am sure you know) it is reverse rotation, and, is 1 inch diameter, I have struck out.
Any ideas??

Wonder what you are going to pull with the Cub that requires an over running clutch??? The IH 42 inch one blade mowers that fit the Cub had a built in clutch. No standard heavy implements will work because of the reverse rotation. Can't imagine hooking the Cub to anything very heavy anyway.

The implement I'd like to use the clutch with is an International C-3 belly mount three blade mower. It works great "as is", I just thought a clutch would get rid of that 6-8 foot increase in stopping distance.

Yes, the overrunning clutch would help reduce the stopping distance. I doubt you are going to find one however. If you do, it will be expensive because it will be a specialty item.
